Meet the Mamas Behind the Book
The Author: Christie Griffin Authier
Christie is a writer and editor who spent 15 years in NYC working at some of the world’s most legendary brands. Most recently, she was on the digital production team at Sesame Workshop (Sesame Street), and before that she wrote social-first content at Mattel for Fisher-Price, Barbie, Hot Wheels, and Thomas & Friends. With a degree in Journalism from Indiana University, Christie was also a senior editor at Cosmopolitan and she has written articles for CNN.com, Brides, Fitness, Women’s Health, MSN, Yahoo!, and more. She moved to Newburyport, MA in 2020 and has an infant son and a 3-year-old daughter.

The Illustrator: Emily Wetterich
Emily Wetterich is an illustrator and board game designer for Twilight Creations. As an illustrator, she most loves creating creatures and characters of all kinds. She dabbles in a number of crafts as well including making leather sketchbooks and other leather goods that she sells in her Etsy shop. Emily graduated from Northern Kentucky University with a BA in Media Informatics and a Studio Arts minor. She has two daughters under the age of 2, resides in her home state of Indiana, and practices martial arts and yoga regularly.
